The Estate

Our vine growing estate is perched on top of the hills in the village of Yens, in the Morges district, enjoying sweeping views over Lake Geneva and the Alps.

Our vineyard spreads over 12 acres, and is a member of the “Vins de Morges” league, which is enlisted in the AOC denomination “La Côte”.

Our “semi-high” vines are planted with an environmental concern, according to the principles and norms of “integrated production”, and following the “Vinatura” specification.

All our wines are produced on our own estate. They are bottled and aged in our cellars. They all qualify for the “Grand Cru” label which certifies the origin and quality of the grapes.

Our Story

In the 1950’s, Mr Henri Coeytaux took over the Estate, which he ran with passion until 1974.

In 1974 it was passed on to his 2 sons Henri and Jean-Claude who undertook many improvements over a period of 20 years ; reshaping the Estate and modernising the ancient buildings that date back to 1597.

The first wine making and bottling took place on the Estate in 1988, thus fulfilling the hopes and wishes of Jean-Daniel Coeytaux, the son of Jean-Claude.

In 1994, it was Jean-Daniel’s turn to take over the agricultural business (48 acres) and the vineyard (12 acres). With the active support of his wife Sylvie, he further developed the wine-making of the Estate’s production as well as managing the cellar. From the planting of the vines to the selling of the bottles, every step is performed on the Estate.
